Netflix Surprise Releases First Look at Upcoming ‘Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft’ Animated Series – Watch Now! | Hayley Atwell, Netflix, Television

Netflix surprised fans tuning in to the DROP 01 virtual showcase on Wednesday (September 27) with a first look at Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft!

The streaming service did not previously announce that the long-awaited animated series was going to be teased at the event.

Tomb Raider has been in the works for years, and back in 2021, it was announced that Marvel star Hayley Atwell would voice the title character Lara Croft.

The new animated series is produced by Legendary and gaming studio Crystal Dynamics, with animation by Powerhouse Animation.

While the upcoming show is currently still in development, Netflix has revealed that it will be debuting in 2024.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is set to “follow Croft’s Square Enix run, and is set after the events of the 2013 to 2018 video game reboot,” according to THR.
