Mysterious Motorola phone named ‘Manila’ spotted online

Motorola Manila model number revealed

  • The mysterious Motorola Manila bears the model numbers: XT2433-1, XT2433-2, XT2433-3, XT2433-4, and XT2433-5, as per a report from Android Headlines.
  • This doesn’t offer any clues regarding the marketing name of the phone.
  • There are multiple model numbers, which suggests a wider global release with region-specific differences in hardware/software to meet local needs.
  • Manila is the capital of the Philippines so there are chances the handset might debut in this region first and expand to other markets gradually.
  • Not much is known about the phone at the moment but we can speculate the handset could be a mid-range offering.

As said, Motorola is working on the Razr 50 series foldable phones. There are two models: the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra and these will succeed the Razr 40 series. The leaked renders showed the phones have an almost similar design to their predecessors, with slight differences in cover screen size. The Razr 50 Ultra is tipped to get a 4.0-inch pOLED panel compared to a 3.6-inch pOLED panel on the Razr 40 Ultra.

The Ultra variant is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, which is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on the current Razr 40 Ultra. There will be dual 50MP cameras, with the secondary lens being a telephoto unit with 2x zoom capabilities.

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr 50 could get the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X 5G SoC. This will be more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 on the current Razr 40. A 13MP ultrawide lens will replace the telephoto lens on the Razr 50 Ultra variant.
