Bigg Boss 17 Winner: It was a lucky day for Munawar Faruqui, as he will not only celebrate his birthday, but will also celebrate his massive win as he lifted the Bigg Boss 17 trophy. Along with the trophy, he also took Rs 50 lakh as cash prize and Hyundai Creta. Out of all the 21 contestants, Ankita, Abhishek Kumar, Arun Srikanth Mashettey, Mannara Chopra, and Munawar Faruqui turned out to be the top 5 finalist. However, Arun Mashettey, Ankita Lokhande and Mannara Chopra were eliminated as the grand finale’s episode progressed. It was a tough competition among Munawar and Abhishek, but with audience and fans love, the stand-up comedian managed to bag the trophy.
With the Bigg Boss 17 win, it marks as the second time when Munawar won a reality show. Earlier, Faruqui featured on Kangana Ranaut’s show named ‘Lock Upp’, and at the end, the comedian also lifted the trophy. Throughout the Bigg Boss 17 season Munawar has been in the limelight for his relationship issues. Faruqui was accused of two timing Ayesha Khan, who was a wild card entry in the house.
Born on January 28, 1992, Munawar Faruqui is a renowned Indian stand-up comedian and rapper. Hailing from Gujarat’s Junagadh, he comes from a Gujarati Muslim background. Faced with financial challenges at home, Munawar began working at the age of 5 to support his family.
In 2020, he gained early recognition with the release of a stand-up comedy video titled “Dawood, Yamraaj & Aurat” on his channel. In August of the same year, he debuted his song “Jawab” in collaboration with Indian musician Spectra, further establishing his presence.
Before featuring on music videos and reality shows, Munawar had established hi name in the stand-up comedy world. The comedian did various stand-up comedy shows entertaining people through his jokes.
On October 15, 2023, Munawar stepped inside the Bigg Boss house, where he became a contestant on the reality TV show and managed to secure his position in top 5. According to a report from 5Dariyanews, Munawar Faruqui, the up-and-coming Indian comedian, is stated to possess a net worth of approximately 8 crore rupees (equivalent to around $1 million) in the year 2023.
