With the cost of living on the rise, many people are cutting back on their baking due to the soaring prices of ingredients.
However, Instagram sensation and Manchester-based mum Aleena has come to the rescue with a budget-friendly, straightforward recipe that proves you don’t have to break the bank for scrumptious home-baked goods.
Her fuss-free recipe takes a mere 30 minutes in an air fryer – a gadget that’s become a hit across the UK for its energy-saving prowess.
Boasting over 30,000 followers on her Instagram account @aleena_rzq, Aleena recently teamed up with AO.com for their Great British Kitchen Index Campaign, which highlighted a decline in the nation’s baking activities.
She champions using the air fryer for whipping up cakes and other treats, not just for its simplicity but also for its cost-effectiveness compared to traditional ovens.
“Baking was something me and my mum did together all the time,” Aleena reminisced about her pre-motherhood baking days. Now that I’m a mum, I’ve had to adapt my ways and make it a quicker and easier process so I can do it all in my air fryer.”
In her video, Aleena shares: “I decided to try a quick cake while my son took his one-hour nap. I used to bake all the time and it’s only when I actually bake again, that I realise it’s so quick and easy,” reports the Daily Record.
Aleena raved about the convenience of her trusty air fryer, saying: “I made this delicious Raspberry and white chocolate loaf cake in my ninja air fryer as I don’t need to preheat the oven, and it also bakes the loaf in just 30 minutes as opposed to the one-hour oven time.”
She added: “When Ari woke up we all enjoyed this loaf together. A good air fryer is a game changer.”
