Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic sports drama Mr & Mrs Mahi continues to remain steady at the box office. The movie was released on May 31, 2024, and witnessed a decent opening with Rs 6.75 crore. Over the weekend, the movie managed to mint money. However, after the weekend, Sharan Sharma’s directorial witnessed a decline, and on day 6, Mr. & Mrs Mahi earned Rs 1.75 crore, as per early trends. With this, the film is inching towards the Rs 25 crore mark.
Mr & Mrs Mahi Day Wise Box Office Collection
On day 1, Mr & Mrs Mahi opened with Rs 6.75 crore, whereas on day 2, the film minted Rs 4.6 crore. On the first Sunday of Mr & Mrs Mahi, the movie managed to earn Rs 5.5 Crore. However, post the weekend, the film witnessed a decline, and on its first Monday, Mr & Mrs Mahi garnered only Rs 2.12 crore. Later on Day 5 and 6, the money minted Rs 1.8 crore and Rs 1.75 crore respectively. With this, the total earnings of the film stands at Rs 22.60 crore.
The storyline of Mr and Mrs Mahi centres on a married couple deeply devoted to cricket. Janhvi portrays a doctor in the movie, whose spouse enables her cricket aspirations by coaching her in the sport, thereby fulfilling her dream. With no significant releases scheduled for this week, the movie has an opportunity to excel at the box office. However, it will encounter competition next week with the release of Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘Chandu Champion‘, starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, which depicts the life of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar.
The movie is helmed by Sharan Sharma and apart from Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the movie also features Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, and Zarina Wahab among others. Meanwhile, the movie received good response from the people. Reacting to the positive response to the film, Janhvi recently said in a statement, “Your love has motivated me to keep going and keep working even harder and pushing myself in my craft.
