The story featuring Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan was hands-down the most popular phase of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. During their track which started from 2016 and ended in the year 2021, very few times did the TRP of the show get affected. Even if it declined a bit, the makers’ magic often worked, and within no time, the TRP would be back to its original form. In fact, Mohsin and Shivangi, who were not well-known faces before YRKKH, became quite large and are still considered as one of the most popular names in television.

Drama is, and most probably will always be, a part of a daily soap. However, when the drama is presented with a strong story and the right emotions, it becomes quite likable. Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan’s season had its own share of good and bad tracks, but it never failed to connect with the audience. The story had a lot of twists and turns due to which people always connected more with Mohsin and Shivangi’s story.

When the show started with Hina Khan and Karan Mehra as leads, although initially, their chemistry was hailed, after a certain point of time, it felt like the chemistry had faded away. One reason could be because Hina and Karan in real life didn’t share a warm relationship. Harshad and Pranali indeed had good on-screen chemistry; however, many felt that Harshad looked quite older than Pranali. Samridhii’s on-screen chemistry with the new Armaan, aka Rohit, hasn’t fully convinced the audience. Amidst all this, it was actually Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s on-screen chemistry which worked the most for the show. They suited each other on screen very well and had a smooth and beautiful bond as Kartik and Naira.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: No tiff between DKP and actors
Probably, Mohsin and Shivangi Joshi’s season was the only one where DKP didn’t have any tiffs with their actors. Rajan Shahi and Hina Khan’s fallout is known to everyone. Rumors have always been strong that Harshad left the show because he wasn’t happy with the way DKP was tuning out his character. Shehzada and Pratiksha were eliminated from the show. It was only during Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s story that there was no news of tiffs and fights. When Parul Chaudhary, who used to essay the character of Swarna, left the show, although there were strong rumors that Rajan was miffed with the actress, the renowned producer didn’t utter a single word against Parul in the media.
We hope that DKP brings back some old flavors from the Shivangi-Mohsin story and makes the current season one of the most cherished ones.
