There are a bunch of new phone lineups up to debut in India and globally in the third week of June. We have the most-awaited Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, then the Realme GT 6 (which is the first Realme phone to come with AI features on board) and then there are budget models from OnePlus and Infinix too. Here’s a list of phones launching this week.
OPPO Reno 12 series
Launch date: June 18th
OPPO Reno 12 series is set to launch globally this week. The phones already debuted in China a while ago but the hardware is tipped to be different on the global models. Recently, the price details of the phones have also leaked online.
- Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200nits brightness, HDR10+ certification and up to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC.
- RAM/Storage: 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 expandable storage.
- OS: Android 14.
- Reno 12 Cameras: 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro shooter. 32MP GC32E2 sensor on the front for selfies.
- Reno 12 Pro cameras: 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX355 shooter and a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor telephoto snapper with 2x optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. A 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera.
- Battery: 5,000mAh with 80W fast charging speed.
Price: Reno 12 is tipped to be priced at €457.83 (about Rs 41,200) for the 12+256GB model. Reno 12 Pro might start at €549.40 (around Rs 49,400).
Realme GT 6
Launch date: June 20th
Realme GT 6 is set to launch in India on June 20th. This comes after the brand debuted the Realme GT 6T in the country last month. The Realme GT 6 is believed to be a rebrand of the Realme GT Neo 6 with some tweaks. It is also the first Realme phone to come with AI features on board.
- Display: 6.78-inch FHD+ 8T LTPO AMOLED Pro XDR display with up to 6000 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, 6,000 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. This will be paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
- Battery: 5500mAh battery with 120W SuperVOOC fast charging.
- Cameras: 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera. This will be paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2x zoom telephoto camera.
- OS: Android 14 out of the box.
- AI: Realme GT 6 will be equipped with AI features like Night Vision, AI Smart Removal, and AI Smart Loop.
Price: While the price details are not leaked at the moment, we can speculate the Realme GT 6 might be placed under Rs 35,000.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra
Launch date: June 18th in India
After the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra global launch, the company is gearing up to introduce the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in India this week. This will be the most premium model from the company and will come with top-end features like Moto AI on board, the world’s first wood finish, Smart Connect, and an AI-powered telephoto camera with OIS.
- Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ 10-bit OLED display with 2712 x 1220 pixels resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, DC Dimming, up to 2500 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
- Processor: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 4nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 735 GPU
- RAM/Storage: Up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
- OS: Android 14 and there will be Moto AI on board.
- Cameras: 50MP primary camera with f/1.6 aperture, OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 2.5cm macro option, and a 64MP 3X portrait telephoto camera. A 50MP front camera for selfies.
- Others: Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Head Tracking, 3 microphones, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
- Battery: 4,500mAh battery with 125W TurboPower fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.
Infinix GT 40 5G
Launch date: June 21st
Infinix GT 40 5G is set to launch in India on June 21st. The handset originally debuted globally last month. It comes with wireless charging support and Sound by JBL. The handset is expected to be sold via Flipkart like other Infinix products.
- Display: 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080 X 2436 pixels resolution, 1300nits peak brightness, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 2160Hz PWM frequency.
- Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7020 6nm processor paired with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU.
- RAM/Storage: 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
- OS: Android 14-based XOS 14 custom skin out of the box.
- Cameras: 108MP primary camera with OIS and f/1.75 aperture and dual 2MP sensors. A 32MP front camera for selfies and video chats.
- Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging support.
OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite
Launch date: June 18th
OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is set to launch in India this week. The handset will arrive as a mid-range option that will be priced under Rs 20,000. It will be a successor to the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite.
- Display: 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC with Adreno GPU for graphics.
- OS: Android 14-based OxygenOS custom skin.
- Cameras: 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. We might get a 16MP front camera.
- Battery: A 5,500mAh battery but the fast charging details are under wraps.
Price: The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is expected to be priced under Rs 20,000 in India.
