Motorola Edge 50 specifications hinted by different certification sites: what to expect

We already have the Fusion, Pro, and Ultra models of the Motorola Edge 50 series and it seems the wait won’t be long for the vanilla Edge 50. The Motorola phone has been spotted on various certification websites suggesting its impending launch. Check out the specs and other details revealed by certification sites like TDRA, FCC, and EEC.

Motorola Edge 50 specifications (expected)

The phone’s moniker (Motorola Edge 50) and model number (XT2407-1) have been disclosed by UAE’s TDRA certification website. Folks at TheTechOutlook have spotted the Edge series phone on this and other platforms.

On the US’s FCC website though, the model number “XT2407-2” has also been listed with the XT2407-1 model. Perhaps, these could be for two different markets.

The Motorola Edge 50 is expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support (based on the charging adapter model number). This would be an identical setup to the Edge 50 Fusion while the Pro and Ultra models have a 4,500mAh cell with 125 fast charging speed. If this turns out to be true, the newcomer will have a bigger battery than the Edge 40‘s 4,400mAh cell.

The Edge 50 phone could ship with Android 14 and Hello UI skin.

Per the FCC listing, for connectivity options, you could get NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and 5G, among other things.

Last, but not least the phone has been found on Russia’s EEC website also although it doesn’t reveal anything in terms of specs.

All this, however, points towards an imminent global launch.

There’s no word on the Indian launch yet. Since the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra edition landed on our shores just a few days back, this may take some time.

Let’s find out if the regular Edge 50 ships with a Snapdragon or Dimensity processor, whether it includes display protection if the display supports higher peak brightness, and if the camera setup has been upgraded. We’ll know soon enough. Stay tuned!
