A MOTHER and her daughter have been left “shaken” after a horror car jacking.
The 38-year-old woman was waiting in her car with her 10-year-old daughter outside a building in Kilsyth on King Street.
Around 9.10pm, last night, two thugs approached the car and then opened the driver’s door.
They then threatened the mother and demanded she hand over the red Vauxhall Astra.
Cops confirmed that the pair were not harmed but had been left badly shaken.
Detectives probing the incident report that the stolen vehicle was spotted driving south of Howe Road at the roundabout at Auchinstarry, Lanarkshire.
One of the men is described as around 6ft tall with a slim build.
He was wearing a grey long-sleeved top and grey jogging bottoms.
It is believed that one of the men had a local accent and had a covering over his face to conceal his identity.
Detective Constable Scott Archer said: “This was a very frightening experience for the woman and her daughter; to be subjected to such an incident is unacceptable, and it’s vital we trace the two men responsible.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time who may have seen the men or the incident to contact us.
“Similarly, if anyone with recording equipment or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything significant to our attention.”
