Morrisons has made a major change to hundreds of essential food items in its stores, including eggs, coffee and pasta sauce.
The major retailer has added more than 100 items to its Morrisons Price Match with Aldi and Lidl to kick off the new year.
As of this month, over 500 everyday essentials and best-sellers in stores and online have been price matched to the two rival supermarkets.
Coffee, eggs, pasta sauce, olive oil and single cream are among the new additions that join hundreds of existing Price Match items already available, including bananas, potatoes, broccoli and onions.
The supermarket said it remains committed to British farming and so staples like 100% British beef mince, chicken fillets and locally sourced carrots are also included, as well as shopper favourites like semi-skimmed milk, rice, cheese and tins of chopped tomatoes.
Morrisons said the addition of 100 new items will allow customers to enjoy high quality prices that are matched to – or in some cases cheaper than – Aldi and Lidl. Among the matched prices in Morrisons stores are the following items:
