Mirzapur 3 is stirring excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its release on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform. Recently, the maker of the show announced the return of iconic characters such as Kaleen Bhaiya played by Pankaj Tripathi, Beena Tripathi played by Rasika Duggal, and Guddu Pandit essayed by Ali Fazal and others. However, in sad news for Mirzapur fans, the OG Munna Bhaiya aka Divyendu Sharma will not be part of the show’s third instalment.
Divyendu’ Reason To Not Be a Part of Mirzapur 3
During a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Divyendu revealed that he will no longer be a part of the show citing the deep impact of the character on his personal life. The actor said, “On Humans of Bombay, I shall declare that I am not a part of Mirzapur Season 3.” He added, “When I was in character, it was affecting my personality a lot. We shouldn’t over-romanticize going too deep into a character, because it is not easy. At times, it used to get really dark for me. I felt suffocated. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realize that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it do you realize how dark it was.”
According to the makers, in season 3, Guddu (Ali) and Golu (Shweta) are pitted against a new contender as they stake their claim to the throne. Will they pass the baptism of fire or will external forces seek to destroy the seat of power forever?
