Ever since the makers of Mirzapur released the first season, fans couldn’t wait for the second. When Mirzapur Season 2 arrived, it built such a massive buzz that people are now eagerly anticipating Season 3. However, to their disappointment, fans have to wait a bit longer as the makers of the show released a video hinting that Mirzapur’s release date might be delayed.
All the Guddu and Bablu Pandit fans might have to wait a bit longer for the series. On Sunday, Amazon Prime Video shared a teaser featuring actor Pramod Pathak, who plays JP Yadav in Mirzapur. In the promo, JP Yadav says “August 22, 2024,” when asked about the release date of Mirzapur 3. When asked the same question again, JP Yadav gives a stern look and repeats that the date is August 22. He adds, “Like ke lel ko, politician ka wada raha.”

Mirzapur 3 was speculated for a June release. However, this news now brings disappointment for all the fans. Further, fans took to X and shared their reactions. While one said, “21-22 June Confirmed.” Another wrote, “Brother, I think these people will confirm this reel with Munna brother at the end… and maybe Munna brother’s comeback too.” A fan also said, “Politicians’ tongues can speak anything, it is not possible to believe them… Yes, 22 August 2025.”
The first season of Mirzapur was released on November 16, 2018. After its release, the series quickly gained attention and received positive reactions from the fans. It’s been over three years since the release of Mirzapur Season 2 Episode 10 – King of Mirzapur in October 2020. By the end of Season 2, the body count had risen significantly. Bauji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and Munna Tripathi (Divyendu) were dead, while Kaleen Bhaiya was severely injured but managed to escape. Guddu and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) still have unfinished business in their quest for revenge against Mirzapur’s powerful drug lord, Kaleen Bhaiya.
