Megan Fox’s 3D Chrome Nails Literally Scream “Boys Suck” — See Photo

It seems even the celebrities who’ve been known for bold nail art have strayed from their ornate ways this year, helping to usher in a trend of minimalistic, lower-key manis. But thanks to a few stars who are loyal to florid fingertips, nail art is never going to disappear. In fact, when some celebs go subtle, it seems Megan Fox will gladly go even harder. Her latest manicure is one of her most intense of 2023, and that’s saying quite a bit.

Fox has played around with lots of fun, elegant, and edgy manicures this year, such as “tattoos” atop red polish, pointy, pink aura nails, and quite recently, little silver, three-dimensional balls. And it seems she’s sticking to the silver, three-dimensional theme with the manicure her go-to nail artist, Brittney Boyce, shared photos of on Thursday, December 7.

“We wanted to create something cool, edgy, 3D,” Boyce tells Allure. “Since we’re both obsessed with chrome nails, we opted for this look.” And honestly, to simply look at them is to become equally obsessed. Each super-long, squared-off nail is coated in silver with a few bulbous bubbles, and on the thumbs are raised hearts. But it’s the message on the other nails that really sets this manicure apart from other chrome looks.

With a letter on each nail, Fox’s manicure spells out “BOYS SUCK” — perhaps she couldn’t fit the title of her new poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. And whether or not you agree with the sentiment, you have to admit, it looks incredible.

“These nails took five hours to make, but it was totally worth it,” says Boyce, who hand-sculpted the nails with a gel sculpting clay.
