Cracking the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination is a dream for every aspirant, but only a few succeed. Known as one of India’s toughest exams, it offers successful candidates the chance to serve the nation in various roles within the bureaucracy, including as IAS, IPS, IFS officers, and in other government positions.
Today, we will talk about IAS officer Nirish Rajput, who secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 370 in the prestigious UPSC examination. He achieved success in his fourth attempt.
Nirish Rajput hails from a small village in Madhya Pradesh. Despite facing financial challenges from a young age, Nirish never lost hope and eventually cracked the UPSC exam, making his parents proud. His father is a tailor, and Nirish had to sell newspapers to help support his family. He completed his schooling at a government school before moving to Gwalior to pursue both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
After completing his master’s degree, Nirish moved to Delhi to prepare for the UPSC exam. With no money to afford a coaching institute, he borrowed notes from a friend and dedicated 18 hours a day to studying. Although he didn’t qualify in his first three attempts, Nirish never gave up on his dream. His unwavering dedication paid off when he finally cracked the exam, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 370.
