There is one such actress who has been through a lot in her life. She has done movies and even television shows but faced a big issue in her life. She has had her share of controversies but is now on a spiritual journey.
We are talking about Shweta Basu Prasad. She is from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She is 34 and has been separated from her husband. We have all loved her as a child actress in Makdee. The film released in 2002 and became a big hit. Shweta also got National Award for Best Child Actress. Post that, Shweta became a household name after she did Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii. She also did Karishma Kaa Karishma.
She played an important role in Iqbal with Shreyas Talpade. She also did a Telugu film Bangarulokam and also became a writer, documentary director, and producer. She did Tamil and Bengali films and also returned to TV with Chandra Nandini.
However, we saw a big setback that came in her life. In 2014, she was arrested at a five-star hotel in Hyderabad. She was involved in a scandal that shook the industry. She was detained by the police on charges of prostitution. She had to spend a night in the jail. All the charges on her were cleared when the main culprit was found. But, this did damage Shweta’s reputation.
Later in 2017, she started films again and did Badrinath Ki Dulhania. She also got engaged to film producer Rohit Mittal and the two married in 2018. But again in 2019, she got separated from Rohit. Recently, we have seen her in many films and web series.
She did projects like Serious Men, Comedy Couple, High in 2020, Ray (2021), Jamun (2021), Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach (season 3, 2022), and Jubilee.
