Recently, a photo of the schedule of a 17 year-old IIT-JEE student went viral in which the student had planned to study more than 18 hours. Reacting on the same, Kalpit Veerwal, who scored 360 out of 360 to ace the competitive entrance exam in 2017 responded,

Preparation strategy by Kalpit Veerwal

”I literally scored full marks in JEE Main 2017 (AIR 1) and didn’t study half as much. Students who study this much usually end up burnt out, with skill issues,” Kalpit wrote on X.

”I had received multiple offers from Kota coaching’s to stay in their VIP hostel and stuff, they were even paying me to attend their classes. I rejected and stayed in Udaipur only, I used to play cricket, watch TV, etc with regular 8+ hours of studies. And I still felt pretty burnt out by the time I entered college, my whole first semester in IITB was enjoying lol”, he added.

Veerwal developed his first online course for the education website during his college days at IIT Bombay. Later on, he was able to sell enough to outsell the most expensive package that IIT Bombay CSE was providing at the time. Consequently, in order to focus on his business, he decided to forego the placements at the prestigious colleges.
