IIT-JEE success story: The IIT-JEE examination is the one of the toughest entrance exams in the country, with thousands of students taking the test each year to get an admission into a prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). However, only the very best of minds are able to crack the test and a select few, the proverbial cream of the crop, emerge as toppers.
One such genius is Ramesh Surya Teja, a young man from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, who topped the JEE Advanced 2023 examination, securing an All-India Rank (AIR) of 2 at the young age of 17.
Who is Ramesh Surya Teja?
Ramesh Surya Teja belongs to a well-educated family in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, with both of his parents working as a teachers– his father, R. Ramesh, is the headmaster of a government high school in the district, while his mother is a physics teacher. Raised in a household that prioritizes education, Ramesh’s parents inspired their son and groomed for academic success from a very young age.

Ramesh had also performed well in the JEE Mains, scoring 290 out of 300 marks, and securing AIR 28, however, his crowning moment arrived when he cracked the JEE-Advanced in his first attempt, achieving AIR 2, and getting admission to the prestigious IIT-Bombay where he is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering.
In a recent interview, Ramesh revealed that he dreams of becoming the CEO of a multinational conglomerate one day, and going by his trajectory, the young man certainly seems on the right path to achieve his life and career goals.
