NEET Success Story: Some individuals face numerous challenges in their lives but still manage to overcome them to achieve their goals. Sekh Galib Raza hails from Odisha’s Soro village. Overcoming significant health challenges, he cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 examination in his fourth attempt. The 20-year-old is now pursuing his MBBS at SCB Medical College and Hospital.
Speaking of his rank, Sekh Galib Raza scored 3835 rank. “Srirama Chandra Bhanj Medical College & Hospital (S.C.B Medical College) is a premier medical institute in India in medical teaching, training, research, and patient care. This Institution is situated in the city of Cuttack with a sprawling campus of 87.32 acres. It has been recognized by MCI (Medical Council of India) as an ideal institution facilitating education and training in undergraduate, post-graduate and super specialty subjects under different medical and surgical disciplines,” reads the official website of the University.
Raza was battling a urinary tract stricture when he appeared for NEET UG in both 2021 and 2022. Medications proved ineffective, leaving Urethroplasty as his only option. Due to his deteriorating health, Raza underwent the surgery just six months before sitting for NEET UG 2023.
