This acclaimed actor has also made headlines for multiple controversies and especially grabbed the attention of his relationship with one of Bollywood’s most beautiful actresses.

At age 10, this actor sold perfumes

Today we are talking about Bollywood actor, Vivek Oberoi. In a recent conversation with Entertainment Live, Vivek highlighted his early days when he worked as a perfume seller when he was a schoolboy. The actor recalled, “I was about 10 years old when my father approached me, saying we’d go on a holiday in a month, but before that, he would teach me something over the first four weeks,” he shared, “I made mistakes but learned a lot.”

Vivek thanked his father, Suresh Oberoi who gave him an upper hand in the entrepreneur mindset at a tender age. At the age of 10, Vivek’s father assigned him the task of looking over the inventory of perfumes that his father bought and sold it with a margin of profit. However, Vivek was told to keep the extra earnings he got through selling perfume bottles, which gave him expertise in sales, business, and accounting.

Vivek Oberoi recalled, “I went door to door on my bicycle, carrying my school bag filled with the inventory and merchandise.” Despite selling perfumer during his school days, Vivek recalled that he made mistakes and learned from them giving himself a learning opportunity. However, he continued his father’s business till he gained an entrepreneurial mindset.

Vivek was indeed a quick learner, at the age of 15 he looked after his father’s perfume business and pitched in ideas to grow the business and entered into stock marketing. At the age of 19, Vivek accomplished a startup business, later which he sold at 22.

Vivek shared that this success was a revelation, exposing him to the world of entrepreneurship and showing him the art of building, expanding, and selling a business for profit. This newfound knowledge became vital in navigating the obstacles in his acting career, empowering him to seize new ventures beyond the film industry. This period was a pivotal moment in his life, profoundly influencing his approach to both business and acting.

After debuting in Ram Gopal Varma’s Company, Vivek Oberoi made a mark with notable films such as Saathiya, Yuva, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and Krrish 3. More recently, he appeared in Rohit Shetty’s web series Indian Police Force, sharing the screen with Shilpa Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra.

On the personal side, Vivek married Priyanka Alva in 2010. Priyanka, the daughter of the late Karnataka minister Jeevaraj Alva and celebrated dancer Nandini Alva, shares two children with Vivek: daughter Ameya Nirvana and son Vivaan Veer.
