Things went downhill for the South actor and he even thought of ending his own life. However, a turning point came in Rajini’s life when he started working as a ticket collector on a bus. It was during that time Rajini enrolled himself in
a film institute which finally got him a break in Tamil cinema where he worked under the talented director K Balachander. And rest everybody knows his journey in Tamil cinema, making him one of the biggest stars in Kollywood. He even gave tough fights to Kamal Haasan, Thalapathy Vijay, and many others where he was given the title ‘Superstar Rajinikanth’ people also fondly call him Thalaivar (leader or head). According to a news report by Times of India, Rajinikanth has a whopping net worth of Rs 430 crores, and he charges a minimum amount of Rs 110-150 crore per project.
Rajinikanth’s fee for Coolie
Many may not know that in Rajinikanth’s first lead role, he charged Rs 50,000 he intimidated the producer thinking that it would be his last collaboration in the film. Talking about Coolie, the film is expected to be made with a massive budget. According to media reports, Rajinikanth is likely to charge Rs 280 crore for this film. Since the makers are ready to pay such a massive amount, it automatically raises other expenses for the film. However, there is no official news confirming the fee of Rajini charging for Coolie.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is slated to release on 1 May 2025, the film is produced by Sun Pictures. However, there is no information about what kind of role Aamir Khan will be playing in the film.
