McDonald’s fan’s hack for freshest and crispiest fries every time

Most of us would agree that the best way to eat McDonald’s fries is to do so when they’re crispy and piping hot. We all know the disappointment of them going cold, hard and stale-tasting in the bag – and it’s not very pleasant at all.

So with this being said, a fast food enthusiast has shared his top tips for getting deliciously fresh chips at Maccies every time.

Jonathan Paul Lambiase, an American content creator, posted food advice on the Hellthy Junk Food channel on TikTok. He explained: “The best way to eat McDonald’s – next time you hit the Drive-Thru, ask for medium fries with no salt.

“We all know they will make it hot and fresh this way, the new hack is when you roll up to the window, politely ask for them for a medium cup and salt packets.

“Pour in a few salt packets into the cup, dump in your fries and shake them up. With the residual oil, the salt will stick to the fries nicely, giving you hot, fresh salted fries.”

To eat the fries, Jonathan chucks them into a cup and pours them back into his mouth. He explained that the plastic drinks vessel can also be used as a nifty “burger holder”.

The video has garnered more than 116,000 likes since it was posted – and many said they’d be trying out the hack themselves.

One commenter said: “That’s amazing to ‘drink’ your fries.” Another wrote: “He’s living in 3022.” And a third added: “This is the best thing I’ve learned all day.”

Others were less enthusiastic about the hack and complained that it could waste the time and effort of those working in McDonald’s.

A person claiming to be an employee said: “I work at McDonalds and have a grave hate for people that do this.” Another wrote: “Genius way to hold up the drive thru line.”

And a third added: “Don’t do this the workers hate doing this. Just ask them to be cooked fresh.”
