Man microwaves steak bake for 30 mins – his neighbours are fuming

A man has managed to enrage neighbours and amuse TikTok followers in equal measure by microwaving a Greggs steak bake for an astonishing 30 minutes.

Dubbed ‘Microwaving30Mins’ on the platform, Harry has become something of an online celebrity with his bizarre durability tests on various foods, thrusting them into the microwave to test their limits.

The latest trial involved a beloved British staple from Greggs, which he cheekily referred to as the nation’s “greatest export”.

Undaunted by conventional kitchen wisdom, the TikToker set up his microwave outdoors and posed the question: “What do you get when you add a buttery, flaky crust to 700 watts of micro power?”

Viewers saw smoke pouring out of the microwave as the steak bake underwent its gruelling half-hour heatwave.

After the 30 minutes were up, Harry was left clutching what remained of the once-appetising snack, with charred bits inside turned utterly black.

He didn’t shy away from admitting this experiment hadn’t exactly endeared him to neighbouring residents, adding: “My neighbours already hate me by now for the steaky bakey smoke snakey so I’ll add further to their disgruntlement by promising the next episode literally breaks the microwave.”

TikTok users were left wide-eyed at the extent of the steak bake devastation, with one baffled viewer commenting: “Why did I think it’s impossible for things to get burnt inside the microwave?” Another user said: “The outside was so nice but inside dead.”

Meanwhile, a third curious spectator requested that Harry give a “apple turnover from Greggs” the same fiery treatment next.

Harry’s video has since gone viral, amassing over 500,000 views and receiving 35,000 likes. His other microwave experiments for half an hour have included Percy Pigs, mayonnaise, marshmallows, a lettuce, and a Cadbury’s Flake.
