Man investigated for dangerous driving after car crashes into Suntec City’s Fountain of Wealth

The Fountain of Wealth, a prominent feature in Suntec City, is at the centre of a traffic roundabout above it.

It was once recognised as the world’s largest fountain, having been listed in the Guinness Book of Records in 1998.

The structure is 13.8m tall, with four bronze legs that support an elevated ring 21m in diameter. The water feature is turned on at certain times of the day.

According to Suntec City’s website, the Fountain of Wealth is closed for maintenance from Jul 5 to 25.

A Suntec City spokesperson told CNA it is fully cooperating with the authorities on their investigation.

“However at this time, we are unable to provide further details or comments until the investigation is complete,” the spokesperson added.
