A MAN has appeared in court charged with the alleged murder of a mum in Glasgow.
Maxine Clark, 36, was found seriously hurt at a property on Tummel Street in Riddrie on Thursday evening.
Emergency crews raced to the scene, but tragically she could not be saved and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cops stood guard outside a house on Tummel Street as a probe was launched following Maxine’s death.
Officers later arrested and charged a 32-year-old man.
Mark Keel appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court earlier today.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody pending further examination.
Following Maxine’s death, her heartbroken friends paid tribute to her.
The mum was hailed as a “lovely lassie” amid an outpouring of grief from her loved ones.
One person wrote online: “Heartbreaking. God bless you Maxine.”

A third added: “So sad thinking about her mum dad and kids at this sad time.”
Elsewhere in Glasgow, a woman died after a collision involving a car and a mobility scooter.
The incident happened on Baillieston Main Street on Friday.
The 58-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in a critical condition.
But earlier today, police confirmed that she passed away from her injuries yesterday.
