Alice, known among her followers as @alicelovesbreakfast on TikTok, promotes these delights as the ultimate fix to keep breakfasts far from dull.

In her ‘Protein Powerhouses’ series, she’s been doling out an assortment of recipes that pack a significant protein punch, reports SurreyLive.

Earlier in the month, Alice shared the secrets behind her ingenious mini banana breads that are simply ideal for breakfast.

“This is day 21/100 of my series PROTEIN POWERHOUSES, where I will be sharing a new recipe using different protein sources for 100 days, to show you that breakfast doesn’t have to be boring or repetitive,” she captioned her video.

If you’re keen to whip up some of your own protein-rich snacks without sacrificing taste, here’s what you’ll need.

High Protein Mini Banana Bread

Ingredients (make eight)

  • 2 medium bananas, mashed
  • 60g protein powder
  • 170g Greek yoghurt (high protein yoghurt)
  • 50ml honey or maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 280g oat flour or blended oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, extra for toppings

Method

Preheat your oven to 180℃. Whisk your eggs, banana, yoghurt, honey and vanilla extract in a bowl.

Add the oat flour, baking powder, protein powder and cinnamon into the wet mixture and stir together well. Fold in the chocolate chips and transfer to a greased mini loaf pan.

Top with extra chocolate chips. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes in the oven until golden brown and cooked through.

Leave to cool and store in an airtight container.
