Massive protests erupted at Badlapur railway station in Maharashtra’s Thane district on August 20. It came after an alleged sexual assault with two minor girls in a school in Thane’s Badlapur on August 12 and 13. Protesters also called for a city-wide ‘Bandh’ claiming delay in filing an FIR and taking action against the accused from school administration. Train movement has been affected due to ongoing protests at the station. Notably, State police have arrested a person in the case.
