NEW DELHI: Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 13 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Punjab state. It comprises of part of Ludhiana district .
The constituency falls under unreserved category and consist of nine assembly seats which are Ludhiana East, Ludhiana South, Atam Nagar, Ludhiana central, Ludhiana West, Ludhiana North, Gill (SC), Dakha, Jagraon (SC) .The literacy rate of the constituency is 73.18%.
In 2019, INC candidate Ravneet Singh Bittu won the 2019 General Election with a victory margin of 76,372 votes, securing 3,83,795 votes. Ravneet Singh Bittu defeated Simarjeet Singh Bains, who got 3,07,423 votes. The constituency witnessed a significant voter turnout of 62.14% in 2019.
The date of voting for the Ludhiana constituency of Punjab is June 1 (Phase 7) and the result will be announced on June 04.
BJP has fielded Ravneet Singh Bittu for the upcoming elections from this seat while INC has fielded Amrinder Singh Raja Warring. AAP has given ticket to Ashok Prashar Pappi from this constituency.
