TV icon Lorraine Kelly says her interview with Buzz Aldrin was her ultimate chat – even though it was also one of her worst ever experiences.
The Glasgow-born star says that she preferred talking with the space trekker over interactions with A listers and Hollywood stars.
Lorraine, 64, feels that she is still not completely comfortable chatting with major stars on her shows.
She said: “I do remember interviewing Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon, and that was for me, the ultimate interview.
“It was a terrible interview.
“I was fan girling all over him — much more than George Clooney.

“And even now, I look up at the moon.
“My dad bought me a telescope when I was five, and we watched the moon landings together and I look at the moon and think, I’ve actually spoken to a person whose feet, whose body was on the moon.
“How amazing is that?”
In the past, Lorraine called her interview with Aldrin as “the worst interview I’ve ever done”.

The Glasgow queen of daytime TV remains shocked at how successful her career has been.
She feels imposter syndrome.
Lorraine added: “I’ve still got a wee bit of that working class cringe.
“Where you think somebody, if you’re somewhere posh, somebody’s going to tap you on the shoulder and say, I’m terribly sorry you’ll have to leave.
“It’s still that thing of you can’t quite believe you’re there.”
