TELLY favourite Lorraine Kelly revealed the way to win her heart ahead of Valentines Day.
The presenter, 64, says she isn’t impressed by “silly gestures” and thinks being brought a cuppa without asking is the height of bliss.
She says she would rather have a man who’s handy around the house than be whisked off her feet with a big surprise.
Lorraine said: “I think the most romantic thing in the world is when your man empties the dishwasher.
“And does the clothes washing properly, puts the things right in the machine, takes them out and maybe even irons them.
“That to me is the most romantic thing on God’s earth.
“Not silly gestures that don’t actually mean anything.
“That to me is proper — bringing me a cup of tea when you’ve not asked for it.”
Lorraine, from Glasgow’s Gorbals, releases her first novel The Island Swimmer on Thursday.
It follows the story of Evie who has to confront her past after returning to Orkney after spending years in London.

It was penned between breaks in her schedule filming for projects, including her popular ITV breakfast show.
Lorraine says she had to be disciplined to fit around her Monday to Thursday telly appearances and was keen to set her story where she has been taking holidays for more than 40 years.
She added: “I just had be quite ruthless and carve out time, so I became a bit of a hermit, did a bit at weekends and in times off.
“I wasn’t really prepared for how much I enjoyed it.
“I’ve interviewed so many people over the years, so I think you get an ear for what’s authentic and what sounds convincing.”
