Lok Sabha Elections 2024 News LIVE: The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to release its election manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls at 8:30 am today. The ‘Sankalp Patra’ will be released in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the party’s headquarters in the national capital.
Later in the day, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will both be addressing several public rallies in Chhattisgarh & Maharashtra and Bihar & West Bengal respectively.
In an interview with CNN-News18 on Saturday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman exuded confidence that her party — BJP — would perform well in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming general elections. She launched a scathing attack on the state’s ruling DMK and accused it of creating “myths” for its own gains. She also said the Congress was reduced to playing second fiddle to the DMK in the state.
