Shoppers in Lidl would benefit from starting their Christmas food shop from tomorrow.
On Tuesday, December 17, the price of classic Christmas trimmings – such as stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy – is reducing.
Then from Thursday, December 19, Lidl will be offering one of the cheapest Christmas dinners available – without the need for a loyalty card.
For example, the price of a 2kg bag of potatoes – best for roasting or mashing – will go down from £1.35 to just 15p.
And the price of a fresh turkey will be just £2.95 per kilo, which helps with budgeting over the expensive holiday season.
A 500g bag of British Brussels sprouts will drop down from 85p to 15p, and a 500g bag of parsnips will drop from 75p to 15p.

Lidl is offering a family of six the ability to enjoy a Christmas dinner for as little as £11.26; this equates to just £1.87 per person.
This time-limited offer is available from December 19 to 24, but only while stocks last.
Meanwhile, fellow budget supermarket Aldi is still selling one kilogram of carrots for 69p.
