PETALING JAYA: The lawyers representing the parents of murdered autistic six-year-old Zayn Rayyan Abdul Mateen have arrived at the court complex here.
Lawyers Fahmi Abd Moin and Mahmud Jumaat arrived at the courthouse at 11.15am and 11.20am respectively.
Also seen around the courthouse is Zayn Rayyan’s grandfather.
It is understood that proceedings before a magistrate are likely to take place.
When met by the press, Fahmi said he could not issue any statement until the proceedings ended
“I’ve been informed that my client arrived (at court) around 9am,” Fahmi said.

At present, the press are still waiting for the lawyers.
Zayn Rayyan’s parents are currently on a six-day remand extension to assist with investigations.
The couple was initially remanded for seven days from June 1 to assist the police investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Zayn Rayyan’s parents had been arrested at Puncak Alam at about 11am on Friday (May 31).
On Dec 5 last year, six-year-old Zayn Rayyan was reported missing in Damansara Damai and his body was found near a stream about 200m from his home at the Idaman Apartment the next day.
A post-mortem revealed injuries to his neck and body, leading to the conclusion that he had been killed.
