Lava Blaze Curve 5G could be the brand’s first device for 2024
Sunil Raina, the President and Business head of Lava, shared a cryptic post last week on the social media site X (formerly Twitter). The post used an anagram, wherein fans were asked to guess the name of the company’s next device through scrambled letters. When placed in an order that makes sense, these letters revealed the name “Lava Blaze Curve 5G.”
In November last year, Lava introduced the 2nd generation Blaze smartphone, the Lava Blaze 2 5G. The phone is one of the most affordable 5G smartphones available in the market and comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 5G chipset under Rs 10,000. This indicates that the brand’s upcoming Blaze Curve 5G could follow the same path and be one of the cheapest curved display phones in the Indian market.
To recall, the Lava Blaze 2 5G, which could be the base for the upcoming device, also features an LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s 18W fast charging, up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage with a 5,000mAh battery. Lava Blaze Curve 5G’s curved display would mean the device houses an AMOLED panel and possibly a thinner frame.
Currently, the Itel S23+ holds the crown for being the only curved display smartphone available in the country under Rs 14,000. However, it’s a 4G device which does not complement the other impressive specs of the device.
