A large group of fans was gathered outside Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai on the occasion of Eid. However, Mumbai Police had to take action due to security reasons.
Mumbai: Mumbai police resorted to lathi charge to disperse the crowd outside actor Salman Khan‘s Mumbai residence on Thursday. A large group of fans gathered outside the superstar’s Galaxy Apartments in the Bandra area. The incident happened at around 4:15 pm when the crowd gathered to celebrate Eid with their ‘bhaijaan‘, and to see a glimpse of him from the balcony of his house. The popular actor is expected to come out on his balcony and wave at his fans on the occasion of Eid. However, this year, it seems like he had no such plans due to security reasons.
The viral video from outside Salman’s house shows many fans running away as police begin the lathi charge. Some of them also run barefoot, leaving their footwear on the road. Watch the viral video here:
Both Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are two of the most loved superstars in the country. Their fans always look forward to meeting them at the festival – as their Eidi – a token of love on the widely celebrated Muslim festival. On Thursday too, a swarm of fans flocked to Galaxy and SRK’s Mannat, causing chaos and traffic disruption, while hoping for a glimpse of the actors. As of now, neither Salman nor Shah Rukh have appeared on their balconies for their annual Eid greetings.
Meanwhile, Salman took to social media to announce his next film on Eid. The actor shared a title poster of his film ‘Sikandar’ which is being directed by AR Murugadoss. Salman will be seen playing the titular character in the film slated to hit the screens during Eid 2025. The actor’s post regarding the film’s announcement on Instagram read, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Salman has been keeping away from public gatherings and crowded events following the death threats issued by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi against him. The actor’s security has been increased and he has also invested in bulletproof vehicles for the same. The lathi charge could be the police’s call to avoid any lack of security around his house.
