Lasagne fans will love this ‘delicious and well-rounded’ pasta dish

Finding a quick dinner recipe isn’t easy but this pasta is ideal for those looking to cut down on cost, ingredients, and the washing up.

Chef Lisa Marley (@lisamarleychef on Instagram) has crafted a delicious meal that’s great for families or making leftovers.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “One-pot pasta dishes are known for their convenience and time-saving nature.

“This pasta dish in particular is so simple to prepare as you can easily toss all the ingredients together in one pot, making it a fuss-free option for busy individuals or those who are new to cooking.

“Cooking pasta in one pot also allows the flavours of the ingredients to meld together as the pasta cooks, resulting in a delicious and well-rounded dish.”

One-pot pasta recipe

Start by heating the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat, then add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery to get the flavours going.

Sauté for about five minutes until the vegetables are softened and fragrant, then add in the crushed garlic and spicy harissa paste.

Follow with the salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried oregano, then stir well to combine.

Add the crushed garlic and harissa paste to the pan and season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and dried oregano. Stir well to combine.

Place the broken lasagna sheets over the vegetable mixture in the pan, making sure they don’t stick to the bottom.

Carefully spread the hydrated pea protein/soya mince (or regular mince) over the lasagna sheets, then follow with the chopped tomatoes along with an additional two tins of chopped tomatoes.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking.

Dot the cream cheese around the dish and let it melt into the mixture, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
