He was implicated in the RPG attack at Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran in December 2022, along with participation in various other terrorist activities.
Landa, originally from Tarn Taran district in Punjab, sought refuge in Canada in 2017. He is known for his association with Harvinder Singh, also known as Rinda, a gangster based in Pakistan who has collaborated with the BKI.
Landa has played a significant role in the supply of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), arms, sophisticated weaponry, and explosives, sourced from across the border. These have been provided to various modules for the execution of terrorist activities in Punjab.
Additionally, Landa has been implicated in numerous criminal cases involving the establishment of terror modules, extortion, homicides, placement of IEDs, weapons and narcotics smuggling. The funds generated from these activities are utilised for terrorist acts in Punjab and other regions of the country.
“Landa, along with his associates, is actively conspiring to disrupt peace, law, and order in the state of Punjab. Their agenda includes carrying out targeted killings, engaging in extortions, and participating in other anti-national activities across different parts of India,” said MHA in a notification.
