A DOG owner told how her labrador was nearly mauled to death by two out-of-control XL Bullys.
Linsey Willis, 41, says she feared Harley, three, would be ripped to pieces by the unmuzzled beasts which charged at them Lambhill Cemetery, Glasgow.
She fought to pull the bloodthirsty mutts back while a woman they were with stood and watched.
The pair pounced the same day two more giant bullys killed a helpless chihuahua five miles away.
Linsey said: “I was screaming.
“They locked their jaws onto Harley’s hind legs.
“He was trying to get away but he couldn’t.
“I was shouting and pleading for help.
“I was hitting the dog and trying to get him away while shouting at the woman.”
Linsey, of the city’s Summerston, told how the bullys were off the lead when they targeted gentle Harley during a walk.

She managed to free him from their jaws and they ran off but were chased by one of the brutes before they were rescued by a passing driver.
Linsey rushed Harley to the vet after the mauling around 2.25pm on Monday.
He was left with gaping wounds where his legs had been punctured by the attackers’ teeth.
A vet told his owners he was lucky to be alive.
Linsey added: “We ran for our lives but he was badly wounded and I just kept shouting at him ‘come on, keep going’.
“It was discovered he had extensive wounds to his hind leg and inside.
“They had to sedate him to investigate the full extent of the injuries, which was horrific.
“He is very traumatised and in a lot of pain.
“Watching the attack, I actually thought he was going to die, I did not think there would be a way I could get him away.
“I just kept thinking ‘how will I carry his body home?’.”
Devastated Linsey has urged the owner of the bullys to hand themselves in.
She said: “It’s going to take a lot of healing for us physically and mentally.
“These were vicious dogs.
“Harley is very quiet and subdued.
“He is not very mobile so he is finding it difficult to go to the toilet.
“I would like the owner to come forward and do the right thing because this is a fatality waiting to happen.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
