K’taka Congress MLA Warns Voters of Power Cut If Party Loses Polls; BJP Reacts With ‘Dhamki Ke Bhaijan’ Jibe

Amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Congress MLA from Karnataka Raju Kage sparked a controversy after he was caught in a video threatening voters in Jugulato to cut electricity if they don’t vote for the party by a huge margin. The Chikkodi’s Kagwad MLA’s comments came while he was campaigning for the Congress party for the general elections.

“If you don’t give us a lead then we will cut the electricity. And I will stick to my words,” the Congress MLA Raju Kage was heard saying in the video that is going viral on social media platforms.

This is not the first time that Kage has made such a controversial statement. The Chikkodi’s Kagwad is infamous for making such comments. The MLA on Tuesday made headlines after he made a shocking remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his public speech, saying, “What If PM Modi dies? Will no one become the Prime Minister of the country with a population of 140 crore? Today’s youth say Modi is Modi. Why are you drooling behind him?”

Earlier, while addressing an election rally in Mamdapur, Kage accused PM Modi of living a lavish life, claiming that the Prime Minister travels in an aircraft worth Rs 3,000 and wears a suit worth Rs 4 lakh.

‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan‘ Or ‘Dhamki Ke Bhaijan’: BJP Reacts

Reacting on the Congress MLA’s comments, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala slammed the grand old party for threatening the voters, stating that the party is not ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan‘ and is actually ‘Dhamki Ke Bhaijan‘ (Threat master).

Attacking the Congress party over its MLA’s threat to voters, the BJP also brought in the reference of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar giving warning to voters to vote for his brother otherwise their work will not be done.
