Khaite has expanded its retail footprint with the opening Friday of a freestanding store in Highland Park Village, Dallas’ open-air shopping and dining destination.

The store, which carries the women’s ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags and accessories, is designed in steel, glass and concrete. The store opens with the fall and pre-fall 2024 collections, offering the newly introduced Cate handbag, Marcy flat and Benny belt, in addition to an assortment of handbags, footwear and accessories.

The ready-to-wear highlights signature silk gazar, leather and cashmere.

“We couldn’t be more excited for Khaite to open its next storefront in the country at Highland Park Village,” said Stephen Summers, owner of Highland Park Village. “Khaite is one of the most effortlessly cool brands embodying quintessential New York fashion. The addition of the brand comes during an incredibly exciting time at the Village.”

Khaite was founded in 2016 by creative director Catherine Holstein and is based in New York. For the past two years, Holstein has won the American Womenswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Fashion Awards. This year she is nominated for the American Accessory Designer of the Year award, competing against Ana Khouri, Stuart Vevers for Coach, Raul Lopez for Luar and Tory Burch.

With a recent investment from private equity firm Stripes, Holstein is opening stores on Madison Avenue in New York and at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., in addition to Highland Park Village, and has crossed the $100 million revenue mark with her American luxury brand. She already has a 4,000-square-foot store at 165 Mercer Street, which she opened in February 2023.
