KENNY McLEAN has given a major update on his Norwich future amid talk over a potential move to Rangers this summer.
The boyhood Light Blues fan has been heavily linked with a stunning move back to Scotland in recent months after being reportedly added to Philippe Clement’s transfer shortlist.
McLean, 32, has two years left on his contract at Norwich City with the option of a further year.
But with John Lundstram leaving on a free and increasing uncertainty over Todd Cantwell’s future, it was believed that McLean had emerged as a target for the Gers.
However, reports earlier this month claimed that a deal for the Scotland star was dead in the water, due to an impasse between what the player wanted in terms of contract length and what the Ibrox board were prepared to offer.
Now McLean has cleared the air for himself and has went public with a very clear message over his plans for the future.

The midfielder has also been linked with Sheffield United in recent days, but he has now rejected claims that he could leave Norwich during this window.
When quizzed on recent transfer interest, McClean told the Norwich Evening News: “I don’t think that I need to speak too much on it, to be honest, in terms of if it’s true or not. It isn’t affecting me at all.
“I’m here, I want to be here and I’ll continue to be here. I’m looking forward to Oxford.
“I’ve always had a good relationship with the fans and I’ll continue that for the next couple of years. I hope [the contract] does speak volumes.

“It was a pretty similar situation last year when there was talk and I committed my future to the football club. The football club also committed to me. I don’t see why that would change.”
McLean was a key player for the Canaries last season as he made 52 appearances across all competitions.
The midfielder was given an extended absence this summer due to his commitments at Euro 2024 but he is now back at Carrow Road for pre-season preparations.
He made his first appearance for the club since returning from international duty in the 1-1 draw with Standard Liege.
And McLean is hoping to use impress his new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup in the coming weeks and stake his claim at Norwich, where he is adored by the club’s loyal fanbase.
