KBC 16 latest episode featured Dr. Neeraj Saxena, who managed to win Rs 3,20,000. However, after securing a decent amount, he decided to step down
Amitabh Bachchan-hosted quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is currently ongoing. While several contestants have taken part in the show, various actors such as Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Aamir Khan, and others have also graced the stage. In a recent episode of KBC 16, Dr. Neeraj Saxena took the hot seat. With his knowledge and experience, Neeraj managed to win Rs 3,20,000. However, after securing a decent amount, he decided to step down from the hot seat, allowing other contestants a chance to participate. This act of selflessness earned praise from both the audience and the host, Amitabh Bachchan.
The episode began with the Fastest Finger First round, where contestants were asked to arrange the parts of a book in the usual order. Dr. Neeraj Saxena answered correctly, securing his place on the hot seat. As Amitabh started the episode, Dr. Neeraj shared insights about his current professional background.
When asked about his career, Dr. Neeraj revealed that he serves as the Pro-Chancellor of JIS University in Kolkata. He also spoke about the privilege of working under Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, sharing how that experience had a profound impact on his personal life. Dr. Neeraj admitted that, before working with Dr. Kalam, he used to think only of himself, but after their association, he began thinking on a larger scale, focusing on the nation’s progress and well-being.
As the game progressed, Amitabh Bachchan guided Dr. Neeraj through the first level, known as Pehla Padaav. Dr. Neeraj was asked to complete a proverb, which he answered correctly, securing Rs 1,000. Through a series of correct answers, he ultimately won Rs 3,20,000.
However, after winning Rs 3,20,000, Dr. Neeraj surprised everyone by expressing his desire to quit. He said, “Sir, ek nivedan hai, main iss padaav par quit karna chahunga, main chahta hoon ke baaki jo bache hue hain, unko mauka mile.” (One request, Sir: I want to quit the game at this stage to give the remaining contestants a chance).
This statement touched the hearts of Amitabh and the audience. Amitabh Bachchan responded, “Sir, humne yeh udaharan pehle kabhi dekha nahin.” (Sir, we have never seen such an example before). The host also thanked him, saying, “Bohot kuch seekhne ko mila aapse.” (We have learned a lot from you).
