Kaveri Kapur officially made her Bollywood debut with Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. Directed by Kunal Kohli, the rom-com stars Kapur and Vardhaan Puri in the titular roles. The film was released on OTT this week and as reviews are pouring in, the Kapur girl has shared her experience of shooting the film. While she has earlier insisted that her great off-screen bond with Vardhaan Puri helped her in bringing out the same in her debut film, now she has gone on to speak about her experience with Kunal Kohli.

Talking about her first release, Kaveri Kapur said, “Working on this film was a dream come true as a debut actor. The support and guidance I received from Kunal (Kohli) really helped me find my way as an actor and his advice will probably help me in all my future films.” She added, “I had the best time working on this film, and even though the days were long and it was hard work, it didn’t feel like work at all. I was so sad when we wrapped the film. I’m just so grateful for this whole experience, it changed the course of my life for the better”.
Speaking of the film, Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story is the tale of a boy and a girl. Kaushalya Prajapati aka Bobby is flying from Glasgow to Cardiff but her flight is diverted to Heathrow due to a volcanic ash cloud situation. At the airport, she bumps into Rishi who gets smitten by her and follows her to the railway station where Bobby gets onto a train heading to Cambridge. When Bobby sees Rishi in the same train, she confronts him for being a creep but soon, both start talking and decide to explore Cambridge. In the process, they fall for each other, only for Rishi to later realize that Bobby has become commitment-phobic after a recent ugly break-up.
The film premiered on Disney+ Hotstar ahead of Valentine’s Day, on February 12.
