In a captivating new series, The Perfect Couple, a six-episode adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s popular novel, a trailer recently released on YouTube reveals a wedding that descends into turmoil when a body is discovered on the beach. What starts as a celebration quickly transforms into a murder investigation. Nicole Kidman stars as Greer Garrison Winbury, the mother of the groom, while Liev Schreiber plays Tag Winbury, the groom’s father.
The story focuses on Amelia Sacks, portrayed by Eve Hewson, who is about to marry into one of Nantucket’s wealthiest families. As the wedding festivities progress, the mood shifts dramatically with the startling discovery of a dead body.
Netflix teased on social media, “As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.”
The Hollywood Reporter also notes that the cast includes Billy Howle, Jack Reynor, Bollywood star Ishaan Khatter, Meghann Fahy, Sam Nivola, Michael Beach, Donna Lynne Champlin, Mia Isaac, and Isabelle Adjani.
Directed by Susanne Bier, the series blends mystery with complex family dynamics, exploring themes of trust and betrayal. The Perfect Couple premiered globally on Netflix on September 5, pulling viewers into its intricate web of suspense and intrigue.
