Addressing the question of breaking free from the pressure to look perfect and focusing solely on her acting, Kareena revealed how the industry has consistently boxed her into the image-centric narrative for the past two decades. She said right from her debut film, it is her appearance, the way she looks, that has been the topic of the conversation. Despite this, she has steadfastly aimed to prioritize being an actor.
The actress asserted her confidence in her appearance. She emphasized that even if the fine lines are showing up on the camera, it’s fine, as that is just how she is. She has an indifference to visible lines and wrinkles. She adds that she is an actor, and wants people to see her beyond her looks. Admitting that the star part of her career was extremely incidental and she has done projects for the same, as of now, her focus is just to prove her mettle as an actor.
