Kapil Sharma is back with the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, and his first guests will be Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, and Vedang Raina. The trio will appear on the Netflix show to promote their film, Jigra. The trailer for the episode was released recently, and in one segment, Kapil asked Karan what he appreciates about Alia, given their frequent collaborations.

Kapil asked Karan, “What do you see in Alia Bhatt? A friend? An actor? Your aunt?” Karan Johar replied, “She is my first daughter.”

Karan Johar admits in the trailer that, despite being a Bollywood matchmaker, he has failed to find a match for himself. “I have helped many people with their relationships. However, I am single.” Kapil jokes, “A confectioner doesn’t eat the candies he makes.”
Karan also discusses his experience as a single parent and mentions the mom’s WhatsApp groups he’s part of. He shared, “I am added to a WhatsApp group with all moms. Every morning they put a message, ‘Good morning ladies’ and then I have to remind them, I am there too.’”
Kapil announced the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show last month, confirming that Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur will reprise their comedic roles.
Talking about the upcoming season, Kapil Sharma said, “As promised, we didn’t take too long and palak jhapakte hi hum doosre season ke saath laut aaye hai on Netflix (we are back with Season 2 in the blink of an eye). We are all very thankful for the love that we received for Season 1 of The Great Indian Kapil Show from across the globe. Our audiences have always treated us as a part of their family and we are grateful.”
The first season of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show premiered in March this year and featured a range of guests, including Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky and Sunny Kaushal, and Imtiaz Ali, among others.
