The 2021 Netflix film Haseen Dillruba became a success on the platform, and it also enjoyed favorable reviews. Starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane, the movie was a mystery romance that kept the audience thinking till the end. Following the success of that film, the makers are now back with its sequel titled Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba. This time, Sunny Kaushal has replaced Harshvardhan Rane since the latter’s character dies in the first film.

Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba is again written by Kanika Dhillon and she is also the co-producer of the film along with Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The movie will start streaming on Netflix from August 9 onwards.
Sharing her happiness at the announcement of the film’s release, Kanika Dhillon said in a statement, “I’m so excited that finally the release date of the movie is out and only a few days are left for its release. The movie is made with lots of love and written with the intent to keep audiences engaged and glued to their screens. The first part of the movie had received immense love and appreciation, and we are looking forward to the same amount of love this time too.”
Haseen Dillruba was directed by Vinil Mathew, but Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba is helmed by Jayprad Desai. The latter is known for his highly acclaimed Kaun Pravin Tambe?, which was a biopic on the life of cricketer Pravin Tambe in which Shreyas Talpade played the titular character.
