Kangana Ranaut is one of those Bollywood actors who has always been in the limelight for her statements. Recently, Kangana took aim at Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and made a juicy revelation that she turned down a role in Kapoor’s film Sanju. Ranaut mentioned that Ranbir came to her home and asked her to be a part of the film.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana shared more insights and revealed that she had turned down offers from some of the biggest names in the industry. However, when asked if her public criticisms or rejections have made things awkward, she confidently stated that it hasn’t impacted her professional relationships at all.
The actress said, “Ranbir himself came to my house and said, ‘Sanju mein role kar le please.’ I didn’t do it, but that doesn’t mean…”
Additionally, in another interview with Raj Shamani, Kangana revealed that she turned down films with all three Khans because she believed they wouldn’t offer a substantial role to a woman.
Kangana added, “I have turned down deals worth Rs 10-15 crores because they endorse fairness creams. It is racist. I’ve been like this from the beginning, even before I was successful. I have turned down films with the Khans. But let me be clear, all the Khans have been very kind and nice to me. There are people who’ve misbehaved with me, but the Khans were not among them.”
On the work front, Kangana is set to feature in her upcoming film Emergency. She will not only act in the film but has also directed and produced it. The movie features Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Bhumika Chawla, Anupam Kher, and the late actor Satish Kaushik.
