Emergency movie starring Kangana Ranaut is currently in the headlines. The film that was supposed to release on September 6 has now been postponed. It is embroiled in controversies and hasn’t received a certification from CBFC. Multiple petitions got filed against the film and it received backlash from many communities citing that Emergency hurts religious and communal sentiments. Given the sensitive nature of the movie, CBFC has not given it a certification yet. Kangana Ranaut has now official announced its postponement.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Kangana Ranaut announced to her fans that Emergency has been postponed as the Censor Board did not give it certification. She also wrote that the makers will soon announce the new release date. She also thanked all her fans for understanding and patience. For the past few days, Kangana Ranaut who is also the director of the film is making posts on social media about the controversies revolving around the film. The debate around Emergency is also now being discussed over the prime time slots on the news channel. As of now, there is no clarification on the new release date as yet in entertainment news.
