Kangana Ranaut has been a part of the film industry for almost two decades, experiencing many ups and downs in her career while working with top filmmakers and actors. Despite her long association with Bollywood, her relationship with the industry has become strained over time. Kangana has frequently criticised nepotism and claimed that there is an alleged Bollywood mafia trying to sabotage her career. She also avoids Bollywood parties and has spoken about her reasons for doing so.
In a recent interview with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Kangana Ranaut slammed Bollywood celebrities and parties. The Queen actress described Bollywood celebrities as being “full of themselves, dumb, grasshoppers, dimwits, and totally blank.” Kangana also called them dumb and stupid. She explained that she cannot be friends with people from the industry, as she believes they are too self-absorbed and lack meaningful conversations. According to Ranaut, the celebrities in the Hindi film industry are not aware of what is happening around them, and their conversations are shallow.
Further, the Tanu Weds Manu Returns actress was asked if the entire film industry is like this. In response, Kangana Ranaut stated, “Everyone is that way.” Kangana said she has seen enough of Bollywood to make her judgements. The Rangoon actress also mentioned that when Bollywood actors are not working, their daily routine typically involves waking up, doing physical training, sleeping in the afternoon, going to the gym, and either sleeping or watching TV at night.
According to Kangana Ranaut, these Bollywood parties are “trauma” for her. The actress mimicked how celebrities at these parties discuss topics like branded bags, cars, diets, relationships, and breakups. The actress finds it embarrassing and stated how she would be surprised if they talked about any other subjects apart from these shallow ones.
