Kanchenjunga Express train mishap: Govt doing nothing; wants to privatise Railway, TMC’s Firhad Hakim slams NDA govt – The Economic Times Video

Sealdah (Kolkata): Mayor and Kolkata Minister Firhad Hakim on June 18 expressed grief over the Kanchenjunga Express train accident in West Bengal and informed that West Bengal govt has set up a help desk and all the ministers and secretaries of the transport department are present there. Further, he attacked the central government and alleged that it is not doing anything about the situation. Speaking to ANI, Firhad Hakim said, “Central government is not doing anything. They (the BJP-led Central government) are playing with the lives of the people, they wait for any incident to take place. They just rush to the place of incident but do nothing. Why they are not paying attention, why do they wait for the people to die? This is all because they (the BJP government) want to privatise the Railway.”
